Lara Trump Calls President Trump A 'Good-Hearted Man' & Defends Him In New Interview
Right now, eyes and ears are on all members of the Trump family, from the President himself to his children and their spouses. One prominent member of the family is Lara Trump, the wife of his third child, Eric Trump.
Although she's worn various hats since entering the famous line of celebrities-turned-politicians, she's become a Washington D.C. name, previously serving as co-chair of the Republican National Committee. Now that her father-in-law seems to be facing more backlash than ever due to his latest policies, social media posts, and more, she's ready to come to his defense and attempt to paint a different picture of him.
This week, she was a guest on the Katie Miller Pod, a podcast meant for Republican women, hosted by Katie Miller. The 43-year-old said a few noteworthy things during her episode, but really struck a nerve when she began defending the Apprentice star, and making what were later revealed as false claims.
"I wish people would appreciate, especially people on the other side of the aisle, how much easier Donald Trump's life would've been if he'd never gotten involved in politics," she said. "He's the one President to leave the White House with less money than he went into it with...You know, they've gone after his businesses, they've gone after his family. His life prior to politics, I mean, my gosh, everybody loved Donald Trump. But he's an incredibly genuine, good-hearted person."

Once a clip of the mom-of-two talking about how much her father-in-law's life has changed since entering the White House was shared on social media platforms like X, it didn't take long for it to go viral. Numerous users were angered by her false claims about his not making any money, and others called her out for trying to garner empathy or sympathy for him.
According to various media outlets and reports, Trump has earned over $4B since taking on the role as President of the United States, and social media users were quick to respond to Lara and her incorrect take on his wealth. That wasn't the only thing that made them angry, however.
"I wish Lara would appreciate how much easier OUR life would be if Donald Trump never got involved in politics," responded a user on X.
