Jennifer Lawrence Reveals She Underwent Plastic Surgery To Look Like 'A Sexy Mom'
In a new interview with The Cut, published October 27, Lawrence confirmed that she underwent a breast lift following the birth of her second child. The actress previously opened up about how differently her body responded to her pregnancies, telling The New Yorker in 2025, "Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one. Second one, nothing bounced back."
She also acknowledged that her career played a role in the timing of the procedure, explaining that she was preparing for a film that would require her to appear nude. When asked whether she would have made the same decision if she weren't a famous actress, she admitted, "Maybe I wouldn’t be hustling to the appointment in the same way. But I think yes."
Lawrence also explained that wanting to feel attractive is part of how she approaches everyday motherhood. "I want to be a sexy mom," the mother of two told the outlet. "At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s—t together even when I’ve just woken up and don’t have my s—t together." Her comments come around the same time as her appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, where she opened up about some of the cosmetic procedures she regularly has done, including small amounts of Botox. "I can't really get very much done," she said. "I need to have movement in my face — I get baby Botox, but I can't do a lot."
However, with the differences in her appearance as of late, many people are wondering if she's had more cosmetic surgeries than she's letting on. Speaking exclusively to Page Six, double-board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Samuel Golpanian suggested that the actress may have made subtle changes to her eyes and eyebrows. "When I look at some of her earlier pictures, particularly around her eyes, there appears to be some drooping of the skin near the outer corners of her eyebrows," he said.

Across social media platforms, many users were very disappointed that Lawrence felt the need to alter her natural features. "Misplaced priorities," wrote one user on X. "True joy comes from being a good mom, not a sexy one."

"In the more recent photos, her eyes look noticeably more open and refreshed. You can see more of her upper eyelids, especially toward the outer corners, which gives her a brighter, more youthful appearance," he continued. He explained that it's possible she's undergone "an upper blepharoplasty, which removes excess skin from the upper eyelids. But oftentimes, that procedure is performed together with a brow lift."
"In her case, I wouldn’t rule out a lateral brow lift, which raises the outer portion of the eyebrows and helps lift the skin that’s hanging over the eyes," he added. "The two procedures complement each other, so it’s certainly possible she had both."
