Kim Kardashian’s dramatic transformation has long fueled speculation about cosmetic procedures, but the reality TV star’s authorized biographer is now weighing in on the rumors, claiming she has never undergone invasive plastic surgery.
Jonathan Van Meter, who spent five years working closely with the Skims mogul while writing her authorized biography, Citizen Kim, recently discussed the star’s approach to beauty and the ongoing debate surrounding her appearance in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
During the conversation, Van Meter was asked about the Kardashian family’s influence on beauty standards, particularly how they have expanded society’s definition of glamour while also making beauty seem like an expensive and seemingly unattainable goal.

“I’m not sure she does. She doesn’t dwell on it,” he responded.
Van Meter then offered a surprising claim about Kardashian’s appearance, explaining why he ultimately chose not to delve too deeply into the subject in his book.
“I didn’t write about this because it became so weird and complicated, but Kim has never had invasive plastic surgery. Her b*** and b**** and nose — those are all her own …” he said.
When asked how he could be certain, the author explained that he was relying on what Kardashian had personally told him. “Because she told me, and I trusted her,” Van Meter said.
He went on to recount a story the mom of four allegedly shared with him about two plastic surgeons who were friends with the family. According to Van Meter, the doctors used to argue over whether Kardashian had undergone a nose job, with each believing the other had performed the procedure.
Eventually, Kardashian reportedly challenged the speculation by suggesting that an X-ray would settle the debate.
“Take an X-ray. Nobody has given me a [expletive] nose job,” she allegedly said.
Van Meter’s comments come as Citizen Kim hit bookshelves on Tuesday, October 27. According to the book’s synopsis, it explores Kardashian’s evolution “from a Beverly Hills shopgirl to the architect of the new celebrity economy.”

The rumors had become so persistent that Kardashian decided to use medical imaging to address the claims. Her sister Kourtney Kardashian also underwent an X-ray during the episode to show what breast implants look like on medical imaging.
The results were presented as evidence that Kim did not have b*** implants, helping her push back against the rumors that had followed her for years.
