The royal state visit that involved King Charles and Queen Camilla spending time with Donald Trump and Melania included a lot of noteworthy moments, but it looks like the public might’ve missed one from behind the scenes.
One of the biggest events of the visit was the official state dinner, where the monarchs dined with members of the Trump administration, and speeches were made. After King Charles’ speech, where he made a few jokes, lip readers and internet users looked back at footage where the president appeared to ask him if he was drunk. The allegation led later users to call him “disrespectful.” Read more about the viral moment below.

Donald Trump Seemingly Asks King Charles If He's 'Drunk' At The White House State Dinner
Last week, all eyes were on the White House as King Charles and Queen Camilla made their official state visit to America. It was an especially important visit, as it marked the first one made by a British monarch in nearly 20 years, and the first one since Charles took over the throne following his late mother.
One of the more highlighted moments from the king and queen's four days in the US was the state dinner, where they dressed to the nines, dined with various politicians and members of the Trump family, as well as made some speeches and remarks. King Charles made a speech with some quippy one-liners related to England and America's relationship. Once his speech, which was quite optimistic, came to an end, the president was quick to embrace him.
As Trump began talking to the king, a lip reader from The Sun evaluated footage where it looked as though the president asked him, "Are you drunk?"

Social Media Users React To The Interaction On Social Media
After the clip of the Apprentice star seemingly asking the monarch if he was intoxicated during the state dinner went viral, social media users began reacting and slamming him in the comments. Many found the moment to be inappropriate and out of line for the prestigious event.
They left comments about Trump's behavior on various social media sites, from YouTube to Instagram.
"Classy King Charles intersects with the classless Trump," wrote a YouTube user.
"King Charles is the polar opposite of Trump in every way but pulled off an amazing visit and got his point across," commented another.
One called the alleged moment "absolutely ridiculous," as an additional one added, "Trump is gaslighting."
Though it's unconfirmed whether or not the president asked such a question, it has certainly stirred up some heated reactions from other internet users.
