The rumors were quickly shut down when The Athletic's Jesse Newell shared a real photo of Kelce arriving at training camp over the weekend.
"Because I saw the fake Travis Kelce beer gut AI practice video about 10 times this weekend … here is what Travis Kelce looks like at Chiefs camp this morning," Newell wrote alongside the image, which showed Kelce looking lean and in game-ready shape.
Once fans saw the genuine photo on Reddit, many called out the dangers of AI-generated content while praising his fitness heading into the new season.
"This is what I've been saying in every one of those threads. He looks better than he has the last few seasons," one person commented.
Another added, "My brother was at training camp over the weekend and said he looks jacked."
Others admitted they had initially been fooled by the fake video.
