While Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick‘s daughter Penelope Disick often receives praise from fans for her polite behavior and age-appropriate style (especially when compared to her cousin North West), the same can’t always be said for Kourtney’s stepdaughter, Alabama Barker.
Alabama, whose parents are Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, has come under fire online after fans got a glimpse of her lavish birthday plans on the latest episode of The Kardashians. And judging by the reactions on social media, some viewers thought her plans were a little too over-the-top. Keep reading to find out more…

Alabama Barker Reveals Her Lavish Birthday Plans On 'The Kardashians'
On the latest episode of the hit reality TV show, Kourtney was seen having a conversation with Alabama about her extravagant 20th birthday plans for December 2025. And judging by Kourtney's facial expressions, some fans weren't convinced she was particularly impressed. Check out a clip here.
Alabama revealed that Rolls-Royce was sponsoring her birthday celebration, before explaining that a nightclub would be too small for what she had in mind. Instead, she wanted a wedding venue to accommodate her extravagant plans. She also discussed the dress code, revealing that she and rapper Lil Baby, who was set to perform at the party, would be wearing black, while everyone else would have to wear red.
"The party theme is red roses, balloons, old money," Alabama explained, before adding: "I want over-the-top because for my 21st, I'm just gonna go on a trip or something."
When Kourtney asked how much the whole celebration was going to cost, Alabama admitted: "I don't know, but we have the budget."

Reddit Comments
It didn't take long for viewers to share their thoughts on Alabama's lavish birthday plans, with many taking issue with her extravagant spending and her choice of an "old money" theme.
"'Be like old money...' and she's doing the opposite," wrote one Reddit user, as a second agreed: "Every over-the-top detail screams NEW Money." "And on top of that, the Kardashians aren't even old money anyways," added a third, followed by a crying emoji, as a fourth said she was "so embarrassing."
"Who [expletive] does she think she is?" questioned a fifth, while a sixth slammed: "What a vapid little thing she is." A seventh critic added: "Dislike how her dad married a Kardashian tbh now she thinks she's the [expletive] and is all over TikTok don't think she was that relevant before."
Other viewers were more focused on Kourtney's reaction to the conversation, with an eighth commenting: "Kourtney's behavior reminds [me] of when you're hanging out with a friend you don't really [expletive] with!"
However, not everyone thought Alabama's plans were worth criticizing, with some fans defending her and pointing out that extravagant celebrations are hardly unusual in the Kardashian-Jenner family...
"Honestly, I don't think Kourt gives a [expletive.] How many insane parties (& weddings) has she attended for Kim over the decades? This is nothing to her & Travis has open pockets for both of his kids," noted a ninth.
"Is it wrong that I can see Alabama growing out of this [expletive] and actually becoming a well-rounded person who regrets her younger years?" asked a tenth, while an eleventh observed: "She's so young, she's truly got all the resources to educate herself. I hope she chooses to do that. I think she could actually be quite intelligent under the persona."
A twelfth Reddit user even found something positive in the interaction, writing: "Ignoring the terrible display of wealth in this video, this is a cute interaction. They seem like they have a good bond."
