Melania Trump is being praised as an “exemplary” First Lady after reportedly helping reunite a fifth group of five Ukrainian and Russian children with their families.
The reunification initiative focuses on returning children who became separated from their families or communities during the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. According to the White House, more than 30 children have now been reunited with their families through the initiative.

Melania Trump Issues Statement Saying She Is 'Safely' Returning Children To Their 'Families And Communities'
"While diplomacy and peace-building are important to this effort, they are surpassed by our collective ability to place children above international disputes," the First Lady said in a statement.
"Every reunion is a reminder that compassion, dignity, and family can transcend even the darkest of times: war. My representative and I continue working with the governments of Russia and Ukraine to safely return children to their families and communities," the mom-of-one added.
The White House announced on Thursday, July 30th: "The first lady's leadership has bridged political divides in pursuit of a singular humanitarian mission: placing the well-being of children above conflict and helping restore families torn apart by war."
The returnees are the first since April, with Melania saying in an April 23rd speech: "This is not an easy feat. I applaud the leadership from both nations for working with my representative and me to bring love and safety back to each individual who has been displaced as a result of this horrible war." She continued: "I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve as first lady but understand that my persistence alone is not enough. Together we can change people's lives for the better."

"She has always been, and continues to be, an exemplary First Lady," praised one fan in the comments section of a Fox News Digital article. "I wish they would put her in front of cameras more. She's one of Trump's greatest assets," gushed a second. A third exclaimed: "Just exactly what a First Lady should be! Very professional… very classy… and helping people where others cannot! Great job!"
"I have always respected the fact that she didn't do the typical 'I'm a supportive political wife' thing. She chose to stay in New York with Barron rather than immediately moving into the White House, and Trump allowed that. I believe she puts her child first and values all children. I think she's an impressive woman," observed a fourth.
A fifth said: "This classy woman continues to impress me with her huge heart. She represents America well." "Well done Melania, carry on," wrote a sixth. "Melania Trump embodies the goodness that should be in people's hearts. She could be sitting on the sidelines, enjoying the posh life, but she contributes a lot of time and effort to improving the lives of many people," a seventh chimed in.
An eighth added: "Congratulations to our Honorable First Lady Melania. Her huge heart and excellent mind paid off in getting the precious children reunited with their families. We love you Melania. The comments continued over on X as one user wrote: "Best, most effective @FLOTUS ever!" "Bless you Melania for all you are doing for these families," commented a second. A third said: "Notice how OUR First Lady works in the background most of the time and actually gets something meaningful done! Unlike those in the recent past."
