The South African actress has shared a number of photos showing off the outfits she wore for the premieres of The Odyssey in Asia, one of them being a look that consisted of a pinstripe button-down and a plastic, see-through skirt. The outfit was worn for the red carpet events in Seoul, Korea, and after Charlize shared pictures from a behind-the-scenes photoshoot in the outfit, it didn’t take long for fans to chime in. It’s no secret that one of today’s most talked-about pieces of media is Christopher Nolan’s latest film and take on the Greek epic, The Odyssey.
The story, which follows Greek hero Odysseus, is centered around his arduous journey back home after being away for the decade-long Trojan War. It features a star-studded cast packed with some of today’s biggest names, from Matt Damon to Zendaya, and one of the film’s highlighted cast members is Charlize Theron, who plays the sea nymph Calypso.
In the last couple of months, she’s gradually attended more red carpet events for the massive film, and at the start of this week, she was in Seoul, South Korea, for a premiere and press interviews. One of the special outfits she wore for the festivities is garnering attention on social media, as she posed in an oversized blue-and-white striped button-down shirt with white cuffs and a popped collar. She paired it with a waist-cinching, thin black belt that created a flattering silhouette. Adding a unique element, she wore a clear, plastic skirt over the shirt, and some sheer black tights underneath. Her new two-toned hair was on full display, and in photos, she wore some black gloves for a fun accessory.

In chic and professional photos of her in the outfit on Instagam, Charlize had all elements of her outfit emphasized, including the skirt, which outlets revealed is Tom Ford Fall/Winter 2026, designed by Haider Ackermann for his debut Tom Ford collection. Since it's a runway piece, it isn't available to buy yet. Still, some brands are selling clear PVC wrap skirts, including Hot Topic with their $15 Royal Bones By Tripp Clear Vinyl Skirt.
After pictures of the look were shared on social media platforms, fans quickly began reacting, with many being surprised that the special look was fairly different from some of the things she usually wears.
