Earlier this week, I was on the phone with a coworker and our productive convo got derailed because he’d just gotten a new vacuum.

He was telling me all about the specs, the suction, the whole thing, and I wasn’t even a little bit bored—I totally understood his energy! Your home, your kitchen, and your cleaning/self care routines are all key parts of your life, so when something makes them work better, it’s definitely worth getting excited about. We were laughing about how a really great vacuum is just as riveting as the latest gaming console drop (maybe more, actually).

IFA 2026, which just wrapped up in Berlin this week, is the world’s biggest consumer tech and home appliances show, which makes it pretty much the Super Bowl for this kind of thing. Earlier this month, it featured over 1,900 brands, all debuting new home and lifestyle tech innovations aimed at making everyday life better. I always come away with a list of products I’ve bookmarked from IFA, and this year, four products in particular are living rent-free in my head.

Keep scrolling to see what they are!

Euhomy Rock Pro Sphere Ice Maker ($499.99)

Our ice maker works overtime in this house. My husband loves ice in everything and my daughter has inherited the habit—but the only issue is that our current ice maker is loud and clunky. So, the Euhomy Rock Pro Sphere Ice Maker feels like it was made for us, especially since my husband does enjoy a glass of whiskey in the evenings on the rare occasions he drinks.

Instead of your standard ice cubes, this sleek ice maker produces perfectly round 2.5″ spheres that melt slowly so your drink stays cold without getting watered down. That means no more cocktails getting ruined by fast-melting ice! The machine itself is made from stainless steel, aluminum, and leather, and keeps the spheres continuously frozen so they’re always ready to go. It additionally connects to an app that allows you to schedule it from anywhere … so for a household that’s very serious about ice, what’s not to love?

Everblog 13.4″ FridgeCal AI Calendar ($409)

I’m in charge of the grocery shopping in this house, so I spend a lot of time thinking about what’s in our fridge and pantry. I’ll make a list, buy something at the store, and then get home and discover that the thing I thought we needed was actually hiding behind the milk carton the entire time. Everblog’s FridgeCal AI Calendar feels like it could save me from a lot of that unnecessary grocery-store déjà vu.

The magnetic smart display sticks right onto your fridge and lets you keep track of your food inventory at a glance. You can scan groceries as you unpack them, get reminders when something is approaching its expiration date, and even generate meal ideas from more than 8,000 ingredient combinations.

It goes beyond food, too. The FridgeCal combines family scheduling, chore management, rewards and entertainment in one screen, allowing everyone to see what’s happening without adding another app to their phone. It’s an investment at $409, but I can totally see the appeal!

Laifen AutoCurl ($99.99)

I’ve been straightening my hair since high school, so I can do it with my eyes closed at this point. Curling it is trickier though—you have to think about the right angle and direction to twist, all while sectioning the perfect amount of hair.

I like the idea of Laifen’s AutoCurl because it takes all that guesswork out of the equation. It. uses smart sensing technology to detect where your hair is placed and automatically determine which direction to curl it. In Auto Mode, you can let the tool handle the technique for you, or opt for Manual Mode for more customization control.

Another selling point for me is how quick it is. Each section takes about 16 sections, and the heat is distributed evenly across the barrel to help create a consistent curl without concentrating too much heat in one spot. Plus, it uses 200 million negative ions help tame frizz and leave hair looking smoother and shinier.

Linkind Smart Light Stick Color+White 850lm ($39.99)

My family is planning a move soon, so I’ve been thinking about all the little details that will make our next house feel like a home. It’s the small stuff, like Linkind’s Smart Light Sticks, that can change a space.

At first glance, this looks like a light bulb. But once you turn it on, it creates an incredibly realistic flame effect that flickers, moves and glows like an actual fire. You can customize everything from the size and brightness of the flame to its flicker speed, or choose from more than 120 preset scenes, including sunsets, lava-inspired effects and holiday looks. When you’re not in the mood for flames, you’ve got 16 million colors and tunable white light. It can completely change the vibe of a room with one tap, bringing just a little more personality to your space (which I love).

From making family life a little easier to transforming the way we cook, style our hair and even light our homes, these are the kinds of innovations I’d actually want to bring home.
