Luke Bryan & Brad Paisley Prank Carrie Underwood During The Season 24 Premiere Of 'American Idol'
Fans are thrilled now that American Idol is officially back on the air with a brand new season and some new, talented contestants, with the same three popular judges - Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan.
For the first episode of the new season, the judges met with contestants at Tennessee's famous Belmont University, where award-winning country artist and friend of both Carrie and Luke's, Brad Paisley, is an alumnus and donor. Therefore, many viewers were in for a treat when Brad suddenly appeared behind the scenes in between auditions to help Luke prank the "Before He Cheats" singer.
The two men made a plan to trick Carrie and Lionel both with a 'fake' auditioner, Dylan, while Luke wore an earpiece that had Brad on the other line. Ryan Seacrest instructed the songwriter to "wind Luke up" and make him talk 'like a Karen' as Dylan performed. As Dylan was singing, the "Country Girl" singer made rude comments (thanks to Brad on the other end) about how much weight he could "bench," said he "hates" the state of Michigan, and more. You can watch a video of the prank here!
Carrie and Lionel were both appalled as she asked him, "Did you go take a shot during your bathroom break?"

Fans React To The Viral Prank On Social Media
After some more back-and-forth banter and out-of-pocket comments from Luke, the joke was finally over as Brad walked into the audition room, causing the mom-of-two to gasp with a big smile on her face.
"Jeez Louise," responded Carrie, as she added that for most of the prank, she "didn't think anything was wrong."
After the episode aired, clips of the prank circulated on social media, as fans of both the show and the three country artists loved seeing them all goof off together. On platforms like YouTube, they expressed those feelings by flooding the comments section.
"I love it," commented a YouTube user. "Carrie's been around those boys too long."
"It was cool and funny," wrote a fan. "Gotta laugh sometimes."
One user wrote that the prank was "too hilarious" and that they "watched this over and over."
"Love that they have fun picking at each other," added a fan.
