Angelina Jolie turned heads once again with a stunning red carpet appearance.
Touching down in Paris, the actress swapped her usual all-black attire for a look we’ve rarely seen her in recently: a sheer gown by Givenchy. The transparent mesh base was adorned with intricate silver sequin floral detailing, while crystallized fringe cascaded elegantly from the sleeves and hem. She still kept a touch of black, pairing the gown with sleek black pumps.

Angelina Jolie Stuns In A Sequin Dress
Her ashy blonde hair was styled in a voluminous side part, and her makeup featured a nude lip and subtle eyeliner, perfectly complementing the dramatic ensemble.
Couture, directed by Alice Winocour, is a gripping drama set during Paris Fashion Week. The film follows the intertwined lives of three women—a filmmaker (Angelina Jolie), a model, and a makeup artist—as they confront personal crises, mortality, and the challenges of resilience. Against the high-stakes, glamorous backdrop of a top fashion house, Couture uses the intensity of the fashion world as a metaphor for deeper human connections and inner strength.
On the fashion front, fans praised the dress but criticized the shoes, questioning why the stylist picked such a contrasting color.
“Perfect, minus the shoes. The shoes are bad,” said one. Another wrote, “She looks lovely but those shoes are completely wrong.” One added, “Who dressed her? The dress is gorgeous but the heavy black shoe.” Another said, “Magnificent dress & she’s glowingly gorgeous. The shoes are distracting & completely wrong for the dress.” Someone else commented, “Yeah, she looks great but a different shoe, maybe nude, would've gone better with that dress.”
“Should have chosen a pair of silver or cream heels,” another fan suggested.
Angelina Jolie Opens Up About Her Mastectomy Scars
The mother of six also spoke candidly about her double mastectomy scars in an interview with France Inter on Tuesday, describing them as “a choice” she is “grateful” to have made.
“I’ve always been someone more interested in the scars and the life that people carry,” Jolie said. “I’m not drawn to a perfect idea of a life that has no scars.”
“My scars are a choice I made to stay here as long as I could with my children. I love my scars because of that. And I’m grateful that I had the opportunity and the choice to do something proactive about my health.”
She added, “So for me, I think this is life, and if you get to the end of your life and you haven’t made mistakes and you haven’t made a mess, you don’t have scars, you haven’t lived a full enough life.”
In December 2025, Jolie appeared on the inaugural cover of TIME France, where she openly revealed the scars from her 2013 preventive double mastectomy.
She explained that her goal was to raise global awareness about breast cancer screening and to show solidarity with women who have undergone similar procedures.
“I share these scars with many women I love,” Jolie told TIME France. “And I’m always moved when I see others share theirs.”
The feature also highlighted the so-called “Angelina Effect,” a term coined after Jolie’s original disclosure, which reportedly led to a 20 percent increase in breast cancer screenings in France and significantly boosted awareness of genetic testing worldwide.
