Justin Timberlake is preparing to revisit some of the most controversial chapters of his career, but not everyone is convinced the world needs to hear his side of the story. The 45-year-old singer has announced plans to release a new tell-all docuseries addressing his decades in the entertainment industry, including his highly publicized relationships with Britney Spears and his infamous 2004 Super Bowl halftime show with Janet Jackson. Justin Timberlake To Release 'Tell-All' Docueseries
According to an exclusive report from Variety, Timberlake is preparing to release a four-part docuseries on Apple TV in December 2026, with the project reportedly being billed as a "tell-all." The series is being directed by Fisher Stevens, the filmmaker known for his work on the Netflix documentary Beckham.
While specific details about the episodes and the official title have not yet been revealed, three sources reportedly confirmed the project to Variety. One source claimed that Janet Jackson will appear in the series to discuss the infamous 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, while another said Timberlake will address some of the recent comments made by his former girlfriend, Britney Spears.
Timberlake's relationship with Britney Spears remains one of the most heavily scrutinized celebrity romances of the early 2000s. Following their breakup, Timberlake released his hit single "Cry Me a River," whose music video featured a woman resembling Spears and fueled rumors that she had been unfaithful.
However, Spears offered a different perspective in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, revealing that she became pregnant with Timberlake's child during their relationship but ultimately had an abortion because he did not want to become a father. She also alleged that Timberlake had cheated on her multiple times.

Timberlake has also been back in the news cycle surrounding his 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance with Janet Jackson, after her designer, Wayne Scot Lukas, came forward this week claiming that the infamous wardrobe malfunction was actually planned. Lukas claimed that Jackson's outfit was actually designed to expose her breast in hopes of becoming a viral pop culture moment.
>"Britney [Spears], Madonna and Christina Aguilera kissed in front of Justin on MTV," Lukas explained to TMZ Sports. "So, Janet's choreographer Gill said, 'We have to do something bigger.' That’s how this became that."
There is much speculation that Timberlake will address his side of the story for both infamous incidents, but others think there will be at least some coverage of the controversies that have occurred more recently, namely his cheating scandal with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright and his June 2024 arrest for driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, New York.

Social Media Reactions
While some users are excited to hear the "Sexyback" singer's side of the story, others think it's unnecessary, and are questioning his motives. "We don't care," one social media comment on Instagram reads. "To little too late."
"Hard pass," reads another.
"I’m not sure we want to hear this perspective!" a third person wrote. "The ladies in these stories were unfairly treated and he got away with so much."
"We’re good," agreed another user. "No need. Carry on."
"Ugh, no thanks," another comment reads. "Literally nobody is asking for this."
"The doc we never needed," said another. "Britney already wrote the book. Bible."
"Ancient history, nobody cards," said the next.
"Did the money dry up?" questioned another. "Spotlight go dark? Relevancy expired?"
"You're washed up," a final user wrote. "Go away."
