Looks like the coronavirus pandemic is getting the best of the Duchess of Sussex. After only going out a handful of times for charity work, it seems that Meghan Markle has had just about enough of social distancing. Rumor has it that Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, are feeling cooped up and are looking to leave town for her upcoming birthday.

The couple moved to Los Angeles back in the spring and are residing in producer Tyler Perry's mansion. The couple has only been seen a few times around town, usually for charity functions. An insider told The Daily Mail, that Markle is feeling cooped up and wants to get out of town to celebrate her birthday on August 4th.

The birthday destination is rumored to be Montecito, a city outside of Santa Barbara. The insider also disclosed that Markle wants any guest attending her get together to get tested for COVID-19. The guest list supposedly would only be a handful of her closest friends and the party is to be held outside.

Whether or not the rumors prove to be true and Markle does indeed plan to have a birthday get together for herself, chances are it will be low-key. Her 38th birthday was a low-key affair selected at her and Harry’s cottage at Frogmore.

Even so, the CDC recommends limiting travel and gatherings with non-immediate family members during this time. California is currently seeing a surge of COVID-19 infections and is, incidentally, one of the biggest hot spots of cases in the U.S. Like most people tired of the pandemic, it would be nice to get away for a weekend. However, perhaps staying home and celebrating would be the wiser choice.
