Sources Claim 'The View' Has Been Hit By Major Budget Cuts

When thinking about some of today's leading daytime talk shows that continue to make headlines, The View comes to mind for a lot of people. However, if some fans have noticed it's not quite the same as it used to be, there could be a pretty good reason - major budget cuts.

According to an insider report from Page Six, several of The View's biggest stars have reportedly been impacted by sweeping budget cuts at the long-running daytime talk show. The inside source claimed that co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin have all taken pay cuts since Season 29 premiered in September 2025.

The financial changes extend beyond salaries, as the insider added that the hosts are unhappy with the show's reduced wardrobe budget, stating, "They're all mad because they were all wearing really expensive designer clothes, and now it's the same budget of a Wendy Williams-type show versus a marquee daytime show."

"They keep downsizing and downsizing and downsizing," they continued.

Report Says Tensions Are Growing Behind The Scenes

As it turns out, the financial crisis at The View and the cuts being made to salaries, wardrobes, and more are allegedly affecting the layout of the show as a whole and the relationships on set.

The new report also claimed additional cutbacks are expected before the new season begins filming in September. These changes include a smaller filming space, the cancellation of the show's annual Halloween episode, and fewer well-paying advertisement opportunities.

"There are definitely tensions with ABC," the source told the above publication.

Representatives for ABC, ESPN, and The View either declined to comment or did not respond to Page Six's latest report on the matter, but we'll be curious to see if any of the notable women from the show decide to speak out about it soon.
