The infamous Venice Film Festival has been in full swing over the last week, and the Invite actress was a notable star attendee.
Penélope stepped onto the red carpet at the 83rd Venice Film Festival on Tuesday, September 8th, to attend the premiere of her new psychological thriller, Bunker. The film, directed by Florian Zeller, stars Penélope opposite her husband, Javier Bardem, and follows a married couple whose relationship is tested after the husband agrees to design a luxury survival bunker for a tech billionaire. Bunker premiered in competition at the festival, which is taking place on Venice's Lido through September 12th.
For the occasion, the Oscar-winner wore a custom red Chanel gown created by the brand's creative director Matthieu Blazy. The floor-length dress featured a fitted silhouette, a rounded neckline, and textured, ruffled detail wrapped around the waist and hips. The gown also featured a high front slit decorated with two small buttons, revealing one of her legs as she walked the red carpet. She completed the look with matching red pointed-toe pumps, sparkling drop earrings, and statement rings.
