The festivities, which featured livestreamed UFC fights and entertainment that took place within a custom-built ring on the White House lawn.
The event has been extremely controversial and debated online ever since the president revealed it would happen. Fans of the Nashville native have been expressing their surprise after seeing pictures of him smiling with famous conservatives at the Freedom 250 event, especially due to his history of staying fairly closed-lipped about his political beliefs throughout the years.
There are many users on platforms like X who are anti-Trump and left-leaning who are expressing outrage at his decision, and going as far as to declare themselves no longer fans of his.
