Bunnie Xo Opens Up About Her Divorce From Jelly Roll
Speaking about their divorce, and how quickly they appeared to settle it, Bunnie, real name Alisa DeFord, said: "We're literally settling our divorce in like... We've done it in like, what? Three weeks? Two weeks?" It's reportedly expected to be finalized in July, which might make it one of the fastest A-list divorces ever!
She then discussed the fact that she and the 41-year-old "Son of a Sinner" hitmaker – who is father to 18-year-old daughter Bailee Ann and 9-year-old son Noah Buddy from two different past relationships – still plan to raise their future child together; and amicably at that!
While she acknowledged that some people may struggle to understand their arrangement, she said it's something fans will have to accept. She also stressed that the fact that there was no infidelity in their relationship has helped them remain on good terms throughout the process.

Despite the lack of infidelity and the fact that they are now in a good place, things weren't always so amicable, as Bunnie previously revealed that the divorce "was not mutual."
In an earlier episode of her podcast, she explained: "Was I blindsided? It was not mutual. Even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and frustration. But was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely."
She also reiterated that she believed they should have gone to therapy to "figure [expletive] out," although she said the "Wild Ones" singer didn't agree. While it took her time to accept the end of their marriage, she now believes they are "ending this marriage on the best possible terms that you could ever have a divorce."

Why The Former Couple Is Still Having A Baby Together
"So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered," she continued, explaining that they still remain close friends despite their split and detailed what their future as parents will hopefully look like.
"We're going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other." She added that many fans seem to be "so hung up" on the couple's past, but believes their future matters more.
"Our future is so much more important and being happy and healthy and best friends through this is probably the biggest gift that we could have given each other."
Looking ahead to the next chapter of her life, Bunnie said: "I'm so excited to live my life through a child's eyes, which is why this baby journey, I'm not going to let it break me, and I'm not going to deter it. And J has been so [expletive] great about us still having a baby together and he wants the same thing. And we're just going to raise little Nugget as one big happy family."

Bunnie Xo Detailed Their Fertility Journey In Her 'Stripped Down' Memoir
Bunnie wrote in her memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, which was published in February 2026, that she and Jelly Roll, real name Jason DeFord, had found a surrogate and that she planned to begin her IVF stims "soon."
In the memoir, Bunnie opened up about the couple's fertility journey, revealing that they had both taken hormones in an effort to have a child together and had lost four embryos. "It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically," she confessed. "In a way, I kind of think J and I are trauma-bonded."
Before their divorce, Bunnie also revealed in Stripped Down that the couple had been on a fertility journey since October 31st, 2019. "We have decided to use my own eggs with J's sperm – and we are trying for twins," she wrote. "I'm so nervous, because I've waited this long to have kids with someone I knew would be a great father – and to be able to make sure they have the best life."
"We're going to raise these babies in love and give them everything we were never given," Bunnie added. "I can't wait to see a piece of me and him running around outside of our bodies."
