In fact, many of the fans in the stadium captured videos of Newsom and Bass getting booed and posted them online. The clips are now going viral on X, formerly Twitter, as critics leave comments like, “The booing is so loud!”

Team USA took on Paraguay in Friday's World Cup match at SoFi Stadium in California, where California Governor Gavin Newsomand Los Angeles Mayor Karen Basswatched from a suite. As the pair waved to the crowd, a mix of cheers and boos could be heard throughout the stadium.
Booing politicians at sporting events has become something of a trend lately. Most notably, "Donald Trump was met with boos during Game 3 of the Knicks' championship run. Fortunately for the home crowd, Team USA went on to secure a 4–1 victory over Paraguay. By contrast, the only Knicks game the team lost during the series was the one Trump attended.
