Brooke Shields' Daughter, Rowan, Set To Make TV Debut
With the rise of nepo babies, Rowan is also set to make her mark in the TV industry. A source told Page Six that Rowan was spotted filming for Bravo’s Next Gen NYC. The scene took place at a “Holiday Nights” party hosted by cast members for fashion retailer Urban Outfitters, according to insiders.
The report also noted that the second season features a slew of “nepo babies,” including Riley Burress (daughter of Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burress), Gia Giudice (daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice), Brooks Marks (son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks), Ariana Biermann (daughter of Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kim Zolciak), Ava Dash (daughter of Damon Dash), and several others.
The show is described as: "Next Gen NYC follows a tight-knit group of friends navigating the trials and triumphs of young adulthood. Brooke Shields Gets Candid on Grier Henchy Wanting to Model
Brooke has been married to screenwriter and producer Chris Henchy since 2001. The couple first met in 1999 on the Warner Bros. lot when Shields’ dog wandered off and Henchy, who was working on a show there, kindly returned it to her.
Their youngest daughter, Grier Hammond Henchy, has followed in her mother’s footsteps as a model. She’s walked in New York Fashion Week for Tommy Hilfiger and appeared alongside Brooke in a Victoria’s Secret campaign. Although Shields initially had reservations about her daughter entering the modeling world, she eventually gave her blessing—on the condition that Grier still pursue a college education.
During a 2023 interview on Live with Kelly and Mark, Brooke revealed that she was initially hesitant about Grier pursuing modeling, explaining that the “rules” of the industry have changed significantly since her own days in front of the camera.
“The rules have changed since I was [a model]. I fought it for so long. It’s such a different industry now than it was,” adding, “That’s brutal, and backstage is just brutal.”
