The outing comes as Brad is reportedly facing another public sign of distance within his family, as one of his children has taken steps to remove "Pitt" from their surname.
According to reports, 24-year-old Maddox Jolie recently filed paperwork seeking a legal name change that would make his full name Maddox Chivan Jolie. While the request has not yet been officially approved, Maddox had already appeared to distance himself from the Pitt surname by using "Jolie" alone in the credits of his mother's film, Couture.
Maddox is not the only one of Pitt's children to drop the family name. Four of the six children he shares with Angelina Jolie have now either legally or professionally stopped using "Pitt."
Shiloh Jolie filed to legally remove "Pitt" from her surname on her 18th birthday in May 2024, with the change officially approved several months later. Meanwhile, Zahara Jolie has publicly gone by Zahara Marley Jolie, including during her time at college and at her graduation ceremony. Vivienne Jolie, who is the twin sister of Knox Jolie, was also credited as "Vivienne Jolie" in the Playbill for the Broadway production of The Outsiders in 2024.
The remaining two siblings, Pax Jolie and Knox, have not publicly announced any plans to change their surnames.
