Blake Lively may have wrapped up her legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, but her troubles are seemingly far from over!
Lively’s Blake Brown Beauty line – which hasn’t exactly had the best reputation from the start, to put it politely – is facing more backlash after alleged customer complaints tied to the haircare products resurfaced in connection with her legal battle with Baldoni. Keep reading for more info…

Blake Brown Beauty Is Facing Growing Scrutiny
According to reports, the legal filings included customer complaints and feedback about Blake Brown Beauty products sold through Target – and a lot of it was negative.
Per RadarOnline, the filings allegedly revealed a wave of negative reactions from customers, with some accusing the products of leaving their hair dry, brittle, tangled, and damaged, among other complaints.

One exhibit reportedly claimed that more than 42% of comments related to the brand's Nourishing Shampoo mentioned issues such as dryness, brittleness, and hair damage.
Additional complaints allegedly referenced frizz, greasy texture, scalp irritation, and hair that felt like "straw" after use, while some other complaints refered to the packaging, which was allegedly difficult to use.
Even worse, some customers also claimed the products caused excessive shedding – omg! – with one consumer reportedly claiming they experienced "massive hair loss" after using the shampoo. Another allegedly wrote that the products "dried my hair out so bad." Yikes!

Viral TikTok Reviews Add To The Backlash
Concerns around the products aren't new though, with some users taking to TikTok more than a year ago to share their reviews and first-hand experiences.
One user said: "This is some of the worst products that I have ever used on my hair... My hair has never been this dry in my entire life, and it's not just the ends. It feels like my hair has never had moisture in my entire life."
They added: "My hair feels like straw, it feels like I went into a chlorine pool and never washed it out. It just feels really awful. So I just wanted to come on here and say, if you were thinking about getting this, don't."

The Complaints Resurfaced Amid Blake Lively's Justin Baldoni Drama
The customer complaints have now become part of the wider conversation surrounding the mom-of-four's fallout with Baldoni, which dominated headlines for months following the release of It Ends With Us.
Lively previously accused Baldoni and his associates of damaging her reputation and hurting Blake Brown Beauty's sales amid the controversy surrounding the movie's press tour and aftermath. The Another Simple Favor actress filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni in late 2024, while Baldoni denied the allegations and later filed countersuits against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others involved.
At the same time, Blake Brown Beauty had reportedly been positioned for major commercial success, with Target said to have projected it could become a nine-figure brand in its first year following the promotional push tied to It Ends With Us. However, the ongoing fallout between Lively and Baldoni quickly overshadowed the rollout, with criticism continuing to follow both the actress and her products months later.
