Every day, we see the cutout trend, sheer trend, or “naked dress” trend pushed to new extremes—but Bella Hadid took it up a notch.

On Friday, Jan. 23, The Beauty actress flaunted her post-breakup revenge body in a daring backless halter dress with bold cutouts at the rear, paired with nude underwear underneath. She accessorized with a lace masquerade mask, gold jewelry, and held a drink in one hand along with some playing cards. Her hair was styled half up, half down, completing the sultry look.

Hadid’s Instagram carousel also showcased the party setting: tables adorned with playing cards, disco balls, vintage glassware, and twinkling lights, making for a dramatic and playful atmosphere.

Fans on Reddit had plenty to say about both the timing of the supermodel’s post and the daring dress itself, with opinions split between praise and criticism.

“It’s giving boyfriend broke up with me, and now I need to have a revenge dress to show what he’s missing,” said one fan. Another wrote, “This dress is cute for picture purposes but should never be worn in public.” A third chimed in, “It’s Bella Hadid—she can wear whatever she wants, fr.” One more added, “Outfit is tea… Ms. Hadid is back.”

Others were less impressed, commenting, “I legitimately love this dress and think it could have been styled so much better.” Another said, “It’s so tacky.” One fan noted, “Not sure, but that bottom piece is holding on by a literal thread.” Another joked, “Inspired by the jail bars her husband was looking through the night he was arrested for public intoxication.”

The “revenge post” comes after reports circulated that Bella Hadid’s ex, Adan Banuelos, had been arrested for public intoxication weeks after their breakup.

Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos Call It Quits

Banuelos, 36, was arrested on Saturday, January 31, according to Texas jail records viewed by Us Weekly. He was released several hours later on a $386 surety bond.

A source told Us earlier this month that the Orebella founder and Banuelos “called it quits a few weeks ago.” Apparently, they couldn’t reconcile the distance between them or their differing values and visions for the future.

“It was after the holidays and is still very recent and fresh,” the insider said, noting that their connection started going “downhill” as Hadid’s career obligations ramped up. “[It started] when she got busier with work promoting her new series, taking on more campaigns and events with [her perfume line] Orebella.”

“They also realized they had differing opinions and values about life and their future. There was a lot that was putting strain on the relationship,” the source added about their long-distance romance. “Adan really wanted her to be in Texas with him, but Bella was ready to spread her wings again and take on more work in Los Angeles and New York.”

The source added that the 29-year-old was “really heartbroken” and had believed Adan was “the one,” but in a twist, the pair were seen dancing together at a bar in Weatherford, TX, just hours before his arrest, fueling speculation that their relationship might be on-again, off-again.
