The 13-year-old aspiring performer – and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s firstborn – got into the Halloween spirit early this year by dressing up as Natalie Nunn, the star and executive producer of the controversial reality series Baddies. Some social media users felt the show was inappropriate for someone North’s age to watch, let alone dress up as one of its stars!
North unveiled her first Halloween costume of the year in a TikTok video posted on Wednesday, October 21st, complete with an exaggerated prosthetic chin to mimic Nunn’s appearance. And while Nunn herself appeared to take the costume in good spirits, if her social media was anything to go by, other users weren’t quite as impressed…

North West Dresses Up As 'Baddies' Star Natalie Nunn For Halloween
North pulled out all the stops for her costume, wearing a black mini skirt and a black T-shirt featuring the Zeus Network logo, which is the network that airs Baddies. She accessorized with a Baddies chain around her neck, and appeared to be holding another one. She also recreated Nunn's hairstyle and dramatic makeup, although the most talked-about part of her transformation was undoubtedly the exaggerated prosthetic chin!
Nunn's chin has garnered a lot of attention in the past, even getting a mention from Nicki Minaj in her verse on Lil Uzi Vert's song "Endless Fashion." Minaj raps: "Even if my name was Natalie Nunn, you [expletive] still couldn't chin-check me."
Nunn previously responded to the reference, saying: "Shoutout to Nicki for the shoutout. I already told y'all this chin was, like, literally international. This chin has been making noise for years, and I love it here. And I hope if Nicki does a music video, I could be in it."

Nunn also appeared to appreciate North's Halloween tribute, rather than be offended by it, even returning the favor and dressing up as the teenager herself. Check out a video of her transformation here.
However, not everyone thought North's costume was harmless fun. Some social media users questioned whether the prosthetic chin was unnecessarily mean-spirited, while others expressed concern about the 13-year-old seemingly being familiar with Baddies, which is known for its explosive arguments and physical altercations among other things.

Perhaps the Skims founder thought it was all in good fun, as she also got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up as her daughter too – and we have to say, the resemblance is uncanny!
The Kardashians star donned a long, bright blue center-parted wig and a black and white outfit to recreate North's edgy style. The mom-of-four completed the look with long nails, punk-inspired bracelets and accessories, and even posed with her hand over her mouth, just like her daughter. She nailed it!
Unlike North's Natalie Nunn costume, however, Kim's tribute to her daughter was a big hit with fans! "Coolest mom ever," raved one fan in the comments, followed by the heart-eyes emoji. "I love when parents love their kids," wrote a second, as a third called the look "iconic."
"You delivered," gushed a fourth, while a fifth added: "It's so sweet that she's so supportive of her daughter experimenting with her style."
Fans Express Concern Over North West's 'Inappropriate' Halloween Costume
The comments on Reddit were far harsher, as some users questioned Kim and Kanye's parenting, with concerns about a perceived lack of boundaries and whether North's behavior could be a cry for help. Others questioned why the 13-year-old was seemingly familiar with the show in the first place, while some took issue with the exaggerated prosthetic chin, arguing that the costume appeared to mock Nunn's appearance and even ventured into "bullying" territory.
"I don't want to speculate too hard about this child who I don't know, but I wonder if, if your theory about her trying to 'speed run [her] childhood' is right, she isn't wanting to rush into adulthood to 'escape' to the part of her life where she's in control and not stuck in this unhealthy family dynamic," one Reddit user speculated.
"Her being unhappy at school and being moved to home schooling makes me concerned that she needs support that she isn't/wasn't getting. It feels like a red flag, IMO," they continued.
"This is SO inappropriate," wrote a second, as a third said: "Absolutely the most limited supervision in their household. I would never ever allow my child, let alone me, watch Baddies."
"Everything about this girl just makes me sad. There seems to be a lack of parenting and boundary setting. I wish they would just let her be a child and experiment in private instead of exposing and exploiting her publicly," commented a fourth.
