Hoda was visibly flustered as she recalled the moment, with the two actresses egging her on, quickly creating a viral interview moment. Hoda Kotb Opens Up About Her Love Life While Interviewing Sandra Bullock & Nicole Kidman
Right now, one of the films getting a lot of attention and buzzworthy press tour moments is Practical Magic 2, the upcoming sequel to the witchy 1990s hit starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.
The two actresses have been traveling all over to promote and get fans excited for the fall-themed movie. More recently, they stopped by The Today Show to discuss it and more in an interview with the show’s famous personality, Hoda Kotb. The interview carried on like usual, but got especially interesting when the three women began talking about the interviewer’s love life.
The Miss Congeniality star referenced a recent interview Hoda gave on Today With Jenna & Friends last month, where she told a story about meeting a man on a flight, with their chemistry “firing on all cylinders.” The interview came after she and her ex-partner, Joel Schiffman, broke up.
“A question was posed to you about a flight that you took, and there was a little conversation and a little sparklet?” Sandra pried. “What happened?”
“So I was on a plane, and I sat next to some guy, and he’s super whatever,” a flustered Hoda responded.

The interview continued to get a little more giddy and almost gossip-esque, as the mom-of-two continued to press the reporter on her experience with the man on the plane, asking her to dive deeper into her "meet cute" interaction, especially after she previously brought it up on-air.
After Sandra asked if the man Hoda met was handsome, she went on to reveal that they had exchanged numbers after talking to each other on a plane.
"I didn't know if it was a connection, like just a bond for a second, or was it something — I don't know," she explained, as the Practical Magic 2 star gestured for the man to 'call her.' "I still don't know...This is my favorite interview ever."
During her initial interview about the interaction with Jenna and Sheinelle, Hoda revealed that the pair did text for a bit after the interaction, confirming that she was still single, but putting herself back out there following her breakup with Joel. The former couple was together for eight years after beginning their relationship in 2013, and share two adopted daughters, Haley Joy and Hope Catherine, whom they reportedly co-parent amicably.
Fans loved seeing her get excited about the idea of dating, as well as how she appeared to blush a bit while she recalled the plane interaction.
