North West has canceled the first dates of her Kimokawaii Tour just a few days before it was supposed to begin; and the internet had a lot of thoughts! Some people criticized the 13-year-old for having a tour in the first place, accusing her of benefiting from nepotism. Others, however, pointed out that she is still a child who is seemingly growing up too fast, and should be focusing on enjoying a normal childhood rather than performing full-time.

It was the 13-year-old’s first headlining tour since releasing her debut EP, N0rth4evr, in May. She was due to tour alongside 21-year-old rapper Molly Santana, with whom she performed during her festival debut at Rolling Loud in Miami on May 9th following the EP’s release. They also performed together at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash on June 12th.

North West Cancels Her Tour With Molly Santana

"I was really excited to go on tour with Molly Santana. Sadly it isn't happening anymore," North wrote on her Instagram Story on July 30th, adding: "But I have something special for u guys see ya soon."

Molly also shared a statement for fans who had been planning to see her and North perform. She wrote on her own Instagram Story: "To everyone who bought tickets to the tour I sincerely apologize. I know a lot of you have taken time out of your busy schedules and spent your hard earned money planning to be there. Nothing makes me more happy than the opportunity to share more amazing memories with you all and I hope to see you soon."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's firstborn was due to begin her 14-date Kimokawaii Tour on August 5th in Dallas, Texas, before concluding the tour on August 27th. However, at the time of writing, the dates have been removed from Ticketmaster, and the tour's website has seemingly been taken down.

Internet Reactions

Like most things the Kardashian family does, the canceled tour was met with mixed reactions. Many people pointed out that North is still a child and should be able to enjoy a normal childhood instead of performing at such a young age. Others criticized her as a nepo baby, while some simply mocked the tour altogether.

"She shouldn't have had one in the first place," declared one Reddit user. "13-year-olds shouldn't be touring," echoed a second, as a third agreed: "Good. This girl is 13 years old." "Honestly, good. Let that child be a child!" exclaimed a fourth, as a fifth concurred: "She's 13 only dear god. Live your childhood."

"I thought she was a little older. That's young for touring. Looking at her parents, she'd never have a normal life either way," noted a sixth, as a seventh added: "Good. A tour is no place for a 13-year-old."

They also recalled: "Even Beyoncé fought against Blue Ivy coming on her tour when she was that age, and only let her stay under strict supervision and conditions – and never as a headlining act, always as a backup dancer for only a song or two on a tour where her mother could oversee everything."

"I feel bad for this girl. She's going to be so [expletive] up by the time she's 20," thought an eighth, as a ninth said: "She desperately needs an adult who cares about her to protect her."

"I didn't even know she was a performer… zero work went into becoming a headliner. This is one of the true definitions of nepotism," slammed a tenth, as an eleventh agreed: "We're reaching levels of nepotism never before seen."

"It's amazing what no talent and famous parents can get you in life," wrote a twelfth, while a thirteenth said: "We have enough nepo baby musicians." "Nepo's gonna nepo," added a fourteenth.

"Will the 7 people who bought tickets get a refund?" asked a fifteenth, as a sixteenth quipped: "Probably cancelled because who tf would actually pay to see her?" "Who the [expletive] was buying tickets to this in the first place?" asked a seventeenth.
