One of America's most noteworthy couples has welcomed a new addition to their family, as earlier this week, on July 24th, they shared the first pictures of their newborn son on Instagram, after announcing his birth on July 19th, with J.D. saying that they were "overjoyed" and that mom and baby were "happy and healthy."
"Thank you for all the good wishes as we settle into life as a family of six," wrote Usha in their Instagram post caption. "Meet Alec — and enjoy these attempts at taking a decent family photo with four kids!"
In their post, the vice president and second lady included three new photos of them with their children, including a close-up of baby Alec and group shots with their two older sons, Ewan and Vivek, and daughter Mirabel. Usha had on a simple yet chic ivory midi dress with a high crew neckline and short sleeves. The dress had a clean, tailored silhouette that softly hugged her body and went down to below her knee. She paired it with some coordinating white pumps and kept her accessories and makeup to a minimum.
