Earlier this week, Melania Trump hosted the winners of the inaugural Presidential AI Challenge National Champion Awards at the White House and gave a speech about how AI is beginning to shape the world as we know it. However, after seeing clips of her speech, many social media users couldn’t help but point out that her speech sounded quite robotic, with some suggesting she used AI to write the speech. Keep reading for more information.

Melania Trump's 'Robotic' Speech
"Today is about opening doors," the First Lady began her speech. "When the doors open, passions flow, courage blossoms, and dreams are realized. AI inspires. Use this chapter of your life to sail away with your dreams."
"AI will serve as the underpinning of every business sector in our nation," she continued. "Robots hold steady hands in the operating room. Movie characters, scripts, fashion, music, art, the entire ecosystem, all with AI. The shift from soldiers to machines is already underway. Autonomous helicopters, swarming drones, fighterless jets, and autonomous bombers are on the way. The robots are here."
After clips of the speech went viral on social media, Desi Lydic of The Daily Show performed a bit poking fun at the first lady, saying, "Melania was so excited about AI, she even did an impression of it!"

Social Media Reactions
Across social media platforms, users generally agreed with the comedian, leaving comments on X and TikTok including, "Why does Melania sound like she's already been replaced by AI?"
"The robots are here..." another wrote, "and one of them is giving this speech."
"I really admire how she can deliver a speech with the exact emotion level of a GPS navigation system," another user wrote.
"This feels like AI explaining why AI is great," agreed the next.
"The irony is real," added another.
"This was hard to listen to if I'm being honest," said another.
"Did she say anything of substance at any point during the speech?" a final user asked.
