Prince William has had a lot on his mind over the last few years, and as many have predicted, he’s been worried about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for quite a while.
A royal biographer recently reminisced on the earlier days of Harry and Meghan’s departure in his latest book release, and gave some pretty interesting insider information, which is that the future king was allegedly “sick” with worry over the couple’s iconic Oprah Winfrey interview. The interview, which aired months after they had moved to America, contained some bombshell information and allegations against the royal family, which is why the author suggests the days leading up to it made the elder prince ill. Read more about it below.

Prince William Was Allegedly 'Sick' While Awaiting Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Oprah Interview
When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously stepped down from their royal duties and traded life in the monarchy for a more 'normal' life in California, the nation waited for months to hear from them.
One of the first major iconic moments related to their new life in America was their interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, when the couple finally opened up about what drove them to leave the UK, as well as what the future holds for them. Fans of theirs, as well as other social media users around the world, were made aware of the interview early through promotional commercials, which means other members of the royal family saw it coming as well.
In his latest biography, Kate! The Courage, Grace and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen, royal author Christopher Andersen wrote a story about how Prince William was having a lot of anxiety about what was going to be said during the massive interview, writing that he was "literally sick with worry."

William Was Reportedly 'Retching' In The Days Before Harry & Meghan's Interview
Anyone who has seen the Netflix stars' interview with the former talk show host, who didn't hold back when it came to hard-hitting questions, knows it didn't necessarily portray the royal family in the best light.
For instance, there were a handful of scandalous and emotional questions related to the Prince of Wales and his wife, Kate Middleton, including ones that suggested a feud between her and Meghan. There was also a moment when the Spare author told Oprah that he believed his father and brother were stuck in their roles no matter what.
"I was trapped, but I didn't know I was trapped," he said. "Like the rest of my family are, my father and my brother, they are trapped. They don't get to leave, and I have huge compassion for that."
Still, before the interview even aired, Andersen's new book suggests that William likely predicted the scandalous things his brother would talk about, causing him to fall apart in the days leading up to it.
He wrote that Kate could "hear her husband retching in the bathroom," and that he was "too distracted to think of food."
