Marriage Woes For Prince William & Kate Middleton

Speaking to Fox News Digital, former royal photographer Ian Pelham Turner explained that it isn't always smooth sailing for the future King and Queen. "There were ongoing rumors at one time that the marriage between William and Kate may not have been as blissful as publicly portrayed," he explained. "William has been known for his outbursts and Kate has found ways of calming the situation down but personally, I feel after the cancer diagnosis and the threat of losing her, the closeness was rekindled."

"And that is why decisions were made such as their quieter living accommodation," he continued, speaking of the family of five's move to Forest Lodge from the Adelaide Cottage. They chose the smaller eight bedroom estate "rather than a palace to try and lead a normal family life," he said, adding that it's "become their focus."

Princess Catherine & Prince William Move To Forest Lodge

The family has lived in Adelaide Cottage within the Windsor Palace ground since August 2022. Since then, Queen Elizabeth has passed away and both King Charles and Princess Kate were diagnosed with cancer and started fighting their individual battles. Like any family, they're ready for a fresh start, and for them, that means a new home.

"Windsor has become their home," an insider told NBC News. "However, over the last few years while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage there have been some really difficult times. Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter; an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind. This is a move for the long term. They see it as their forever home."

The family will be moving to Forest Cottage, an eight-bedroom home in Windsor Great Park. This move is being funded privately, with William and Kate paying market rent, and, as with Adelaide Cottage, they will not have live-in staff.
