Despite briefly reuniting with King Charles, Prince Harry‘s feud with the royal family still appears to be ongoing. And a large part of it seems to be down to Prince William still not fully trusting his brother after he and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2020, and then started trashing the royal family in interviews and in his bombshell memoir, Spare.
It’s been widely reported that the Prince of Wales is much harsher than his father, leading many people to wonder what his reign will be like when that time finally comes. And according to the latest reports, he won’t be in a rush to let his younger brother back in. In fact, he is apparently “done” with him completely, with no end to the feud between them in sight! Prince William Is 'Done With Drama' And Wants To Cut Prince Harry Out For Good
Royal expert Helena Chard told Fox News Digital that Prince William is "ignoring the circus" surrounding Prince Harry and the fact that he has "publicly criticized" the royal family for the past six years, adding that he is "done with drama."
As a result, he is reportedly staying silent, insisting he will not speak to him or extend an olive branch as their father has done, and cutting Prince Harry out for good! "This feels like a permanent royal reset. But William's silence isn't a mystery. It's a strategy," she added.
The brothers haven't seen each other since their awkward reunion at their grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022. Although they were at another event together after that – the funeral of Princess Diana's brother-in-law, Robert Fellowes, in 2024 – they were reportedly kept very separate from each other, with each one on opposite sides of the room at all times!

Prince William Doesn't Trust His Brother
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also reiterated that Prince William doesn't trust his brother any more – something which has been said by many royal authors and experts over the past few years – and told Fox News Digital that "William regards his brother as totally untrustworthy."
Last year, Fitzwilliams said that King Charles is "temperamentally more accommodating than William," and explained that the heir doesn't trust Prince Harry or the former Suits star. "William cannot trust the Sussexes. They must know it," he said at the time.
He went on to explain why Prince William was absent from the peace talks that took place last year, adding: "The prospect of seeing the Sussexes at royal events would enrage the monarchy's loyal supporters… Of course, reconciliation is desirable [for the King.] It would, however, come at a price."
Fitzwilliams also told the Daily Mail that Prince William likes to hold a grudge, which has been known for years, adding that he also has a "ruthless streak," noting that he prioritizes loyalty and the crown.

Prince William Has A 'Ruthless Streak' And Likes To Hold A Grudge
Chard also weighed in on William's fondness of a grudge and loyalty, saying: "Loyalty cuts both ways, and as they say, 'Betrayal has a long shelf life.' Prince William is known to take a harder line than some."
"He's setting his agenda for the future of the monarchy," she added. "There's a difference between being ruthless and holding people accountable. He's fearless and has a strong moral character."
This is why Prince Harry and disgraced uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor are reportedly wary of when the time comes for Prince William to take the throne. A palace insider previously told In Touch: "It's no secret that anyone who pushes back against him will be swiftly shown the door. He's not willing to take any nonsense, and the word is he's already on his way to being the toughest ruler the family has ever seen."
This echoes what royal expert Ian Pelham Turner has also said about the Prince of Wales, noting that he has more similarities to his grandfather Prince Philip than to his father, King Charles. He said: "I talk to people close to him who say he is very tough to work with and relentless in his desires to achieve. He does not suffer fools gladly."
