Lauren Sánchez was spotted out and about this week—but not with husband Jeff Bezos.
Instead, the former journalist enjoyed a family night out alongside her 25-year-old son, Nikko, and her ex-boyfriend, former NFL star Tony Gonzalez, who is also Nikko’s father. The trio was seen dining at celebrity hotspot Sushi Park in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.

For the outing, the 56-year-old traded her usual glamorous mini dresses and gowns for a more laid-back look, wearing a bright blue zip-up jacket paired with baggy white pants. She completed the casual ensemble with comfortable white shoes, an effortless ponytail, and dark sunglasses. See her outfit here!
Nikko and Gonzalez were seen walking closely behind her as the group exited the restaurant together.
Sánchez dated Gonzalez in the early 2000s, and despite their breakup, the former couple has remained close friends while successfully co-parenting their son over the years.
Following her relationship with Gonzalez, the helicopter pilot married Patrick Whitesell, a Hollywood talent agent and entertainment executive. The pair tied the knot in 2005, welcomed two children together—Evan, 19, and Eleanor, 18—and ultimately filed for divorce in 2019.

Lauren Sánchez & Jeff Bezos Faces Scrutiny After Met Gala
Lauren and the Amazon mogul are still going strong as one of the most high-profile power couples in the public eye. However, their recent sponsorship involvement and Sánchez’s appearance at this month’s Met Gala reportedly sparked backlash online, with critics questioning the couple’s growing presence in the fashion world.
According to one fashion insider who spoke with Rob Shuter’s Substack, the reaction may not have gone the way the couple had hoped. “Jeff and Lauren shattered the illusion that the Met Gala is still the most exclusive invitation on earth,” the source claimed. “Suddenly the Met looked overexposed, corporate, and oddly outdated.”
Bezos and Sánchez reportedly served as lead financial sponsors and honorary chairs for the event, with reports claiming the couple personally contributed at least $10M to support the gala. Their involvement reportedly triggered criticism both on social media and from demonstrators protesting outside the museum.
Reports also claimed that Zohran Mamdani, the New York City mayor, chose not to attend the gala because it allegedly conflicted with “everything he believes in,” according to sources. His absence was notable because it reportedly broke the long-standing tradition of the city’s mayor attending the annual event.
