Meghan Markle used to be quite close to journalist and Omid Scobie, but the pair have since had a fallout, and insiders are saying it’s rather one-sided. According to a source close to the matter, Markle has “pushed aside” the Endgame author for no reason other than “she’s gotten what she needs.” Keep reading for more information.

Meghan Markle Drops Journalist Omid Scobie
Omid Scobie was one of the few royal reporters that were on the Markle side of what's been dubbed "Megxit." After the Suits actress and her husband Prince Harry left the monarchy behind for a new life in California, Scobie penned the book, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family.
At the time, reports claimed Meghan didn't work directly with Scobie on the biography, rather it was written with her "contribution through a third-party source," which quickly earned Scobie the nickname of her "mouthpiece" across social media.
Years later, Markle and Scobie reportedly have no relationship, and insiders are insisting it was a one-sided fallout. "There is no way Omid walked away," a source told Rob Shuter. "Meghan was his biggest story, his meal ticket. If someone ended this relationship, it wasn't him." Scobie has since abandoned royal reporting all together and has turned to screenwriting. He's currently putting together a television series about an American PR expert who takes on a job at Buckingham Palace.

Another insider agreed that Markle was likely the one to end their professional relationship: "Omid built a career covering Meghan. Walking away from your biggest story doesn't make sense. Being pushed aside does." However, an additional source says they aren't surprised, explaining that Markle "has a pattern" of dropping people.
"People are incredibly valuable until they aren't," the source explained. "Once she feels she's gotten what she needs, she cuts ties and rarely looks back." Neither Meghan nor Scobie have commented on the state of their current relationship.
