Gwyneth Paltrow made jaws drop as she stripped down to her birthday suit to promote Goop’s new Black Pepper + Ginger Grounding Unisex Body Wash.
The 53-year-old Oscar-winning actress posed naked in the shower while holding the product in a picture and video ad for the brand, which has garnered plenty of attention over the years for its more controversial offerings, including those infamous candles. IYKYK!
We don’t think there’s as much controversy surrounding this latest product though, which Goop describes as a botanical gel body wash that “transforms your daily shower into a moment of indulgence” and is made with plant-based surfactants, hydrating aloe and antioxidant-rich green tea extract. The brand also says it features a warm blend of black pepper, ginger, citrus and sandalwood, which social media thought sounded delightful. Us too!

In addition to the shower picture and video, the mom-of-two also shared a video of herself wrapped in a white towel in the garden and speaking about the product, including what inspired her to make it and what was important to her when developing it.
Speaking in the garden clip, the Marty Supreme actress said: “If I’ve been somewhere with a lot of people, and I need like a good scrub down body brush, sage myself, and then shower.”
She went on to explain: “This body wash, we worked on for a long time. It was really important to me that it have like a very grounding, beautiful smell, black pepper and the ginger. I wanted it to be unisex because my husband was asking for a shower gel as well that didn’t dry his skin out.”
