While Demi Moore has long been known for her slim frame, some fans have expressed concern this awards season over her noticeably leaner appearance.

On Sunday, March 1, The Substance actress made a striking entrance at the ceremony in a dramatic look from Schiaparelli’s 2026 couture collection.

She wore a black column gown that fell just below her ankles, featuring a sculptural strapless neckline that gave the otherwise sleek silhouette an architectural edge, something Schiaparelli is known for. Though the front appeared minimal and refined, the back revealed a voluminous white tulle accent adorned with black polka dots, adding a bold, couture-inspired twist.

Moore accessorized with dazzling Harry Winston jewels totaling more than 95 carats. She kept the styling polished and understated, slicking her hair straight back to let the gown take center stage. Soft pink lips, rosy blush, and defined dark brows completed her red carpet glam.

She attended the ceremony as a nominee for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for her role in Taylor Sheridan’s series Landman. However, the award ultimately went to the cast of the medical drama The Pitt.

As soon as red carpet photos began circulating, fans were quick to comment on how much slimmer she appears compared to previous appearances.

"She looked healthier last year, when she was nominated for The Substance,” one person wrote on Reddit. Another said, "Ummmmm, it’s definitely Ozempic, imo.” A third added, “Stop with the Ozempic!!!!!” Others shared more concerned reactions. “Unrecognizable…. Shadow of former self,” one user commented, while another wrote, “This is so worrisome and stressful. What is going on with these women?”

“She looks so weak,” one person said, as another added, “I hope she’s ok.” Someone else noted, “Seems like a substantial amount of weight loss.”

Another fan compared her appearance to her recent on-screen role, writing, “She's been looking so good on Landman...such a change."

Fans React to Demi Moore's Noticeably Thinner Physique

Earlier this week, Demi set the internet abuzz when she stepped out at the 2026 Milan Fashion Week Gucci show in a fitted, zip-front leather jacket paired with matching skinny leather pants. She debuted a sleek, chin-length wet-look bob with a deep side part, styled by Dimitris Giannetos. The edgy ensemble was finished with oversized black sunglasses, pointed black stiletto heels, a structured black handbag—and her Chihuahua, Pilaf, in tow.

Fans on Instagram quickly weighed in on her outfit, noting that the sleek leather look appeared to emphasize her slim frame even more than the gowns and relaxed denim she typically wears. “What happened to her and what we are teaching our young girls. It’s not about being stick-thin. That’s not how she was built; it’s society that is making young girls sick. Sad sad,” one user wrote.

Another commented, “Shocking. She is emaciated. I guess it’s the new/old norm that you have to look barely able to stand, and somehow that’s chic.”

Still, others defended her, pushing back on the criticism. “People need to stop body shaming—period. Imagine if someone criticized a person for being overweight the same way they criticized someone for being thin. Double standards are still body shaming. Let people exist in their bodies without commentary.”
