Spring is all about swapping out the heavy stuff—coats, sweaters, and even my go-to winter perfumes—for something a little lighter and fresher. And yes, I’ll totally admit that I’m a die-hard fan of YSL’s Black Opium and wear it all year long, but even I love a seasonal scent refresh once in a while!
This spring, the perfume trends are blooming (literally) with florals, but there’s also a move toward woodier notes and elevated gourmand vibes that feel luxe and unexpected. The editors at SheFinds have been sniffing out the best of the best, and here are six of our fave fragrance picks to help you feel fresh and flirty for sunny days ahead.
Ready, set, sniff!
Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Cologne ($28 – $170)
Jo Malone truly never misses, so I’m not surprised that I fell in love with this English Pear & Freesia cologne. It opens with a juicy, just-ripe pear note that feels fresh without being overly sweet, and then the freesia comes in to add a soft, floral touch. It all settles into a subtle woody base with patchouli, which gives it some extra depth and sophistication.
True story: one time when I was wearing it, a girl stopped me to tell me I smelled “amazing,” so take that as you will.
Armani My Way Eau de Parfum ($37 – $170)
If you’re someone who judges a perfume by its bottle first (same), Armani My Way is going to get your attention. It’s pretty and feminine, and I swear it instantly classes up your vanity just sitting there.
The scent itself feels just as elevated. It opens with bright, citrusy notes like bergamot and orange blossom, then leans into a fuller floral heart with tuberose and jasmine. You also get this soft warmth from vanilla and white musk, with a hint of cedarwood that gives it a slightly deeper, more polished finish. It definitely feels a bit “dressed up”—like something you’d wear for an occasion, even if that just means dinner or drinks with friends.
Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau de Parfum Spray Fragrance ($38 – $225)
Whenever anyone puts “florals” and “spring” in the same sentence, I can’t help but think of Meryl Streep in “Devil Wears Prada,” but this gorgeous YSL fragrance really is a unique take on florals.
You get a softness from orange blossom, but it’s balanced with lavender, which gives it a slightly unexpected, almost edgy twist. Then the musk comes through, adding warmth and depth. It’s a fragrance that’ll make you feel like “that girl” the second you spritz it on.
Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum ($69 – $157)
Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum is soft, pretty, and perfect for the girly girl inside all of us.
The opening notes of bergamot and pear bring a juicy freshness, and the hint of pink pepper keeps it from feeling too sweet. At the heart, you get a classic rose and jasmine combo, but it feels really clean and modern, not powdery or overly traditional (which I feel like can sometimes be the case with florals).
I also have to talk about the bottle because it’s just so chic. It’s ultra slim, which makes it easy to throw in your bag for on-the-go touch-ups, and the soft, blush-pink glass adds to the whole vibe.
NEST New York Lychee Rose Perfume Oil ($35 – $108)
This perfume oil is fun and flirty, and basically the fragrance equivalent of a sparkling brunch with your besties. It starts with rose absolute, hits you with juicy lychee, and finishes with effervescent pink champagne, so it feels totally celebratory without being over the top.
I also love that it’s an oil formula because it melts into your skin and lasts all day, leaving you smelling amazing from your morning coffee to after-work drinks.
Valentino Born in Roma Donna Green Stravaganza Eau de Parfum ($110 – $180)
If your spring itself had a smell, I swear this fresh Valentino scent would be it. Combining smoky notes of Lapsang Souchong tea (yes, tea!), with bright jasmine and soft vanilla, it’s a clean, uplifting fragrance that’s perfect for spring and summer daily wear. Bonus: it’s light enough to layer with other fragrances if you’re feeling creative, though honestly it’s so effortlessly fresh you might not even want to.
