Kai Trump is opening up about a difficult chapter in her family’s life, sharing an emotional update alongside her mother, Vanessa Trump, who revealed that she is now cancer-free after battling breast cancer.
In a new video posted to YouTube and her social media accounts, Kai, 19, sat on a sofa wearing a simple white T-shirt and black trousers. She kept her look casual with minimal makeup and her hair styled down with a center part. Vanessa also opted for a relaxed outfit, wearing a long-sleeved beige shirt with jeans.
The mother-daughter duo appeared together to share the news of Vanessa’s diagnosis and treatment during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Kai Trump Shares Emotional Update On Her Mom’s Health
Kai explained that her mother, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr., was diagnosed with breast cancer in April and that they wanted to share her experience with others.
“And my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in April, so we thought we’d share her story and how she was diagnosed, how she overcame it,” Kai said in the video.
At the end of the clip, Vanessa delivered an emotional update, revealing that her latest results showed no signs of cancer.
“And it came back clear, so I’m finally cancer-free,” she said.
Vanessa also shared details about her treatment, explaining that she underwent a lumpectomy. According to the Mayo Clinic, a lumpectomy is a surgical procedure that removes a tumor along with a small margin of surrounding healthy breast tissue.
She also underwent three courses of radiation treatment. Going forward, Vanessa is expected to have regular scans three to four times a year for the next five to 10 years as part of her follow-up care.

Vanessa shares five children with Donald Trump Jr. The former couple married in 2005 before finalizing their divorce in 2019. Kai is their eldest daughter and the eldest grandchild of President Donald Trump.
The 19-year-old is also a competitive golfer and college student. She joined the University of Miami women’s golf team for the 2026–2027 season and has documented parts of her transition to college life on social media.
Vanessa has also made headlines for her relationship with professional golfer Tiger Woods, which reportedly began in early 2025. The families have frequently spent time together.
