Warning, Trader Joe’s lovers: four items from the grocery store’s beloved frozen food section have been recalled across 42 states due to the fact that they could contain shards of glass.
Trader Joe’s is well-known for their tasty, unique food offerings, especially when it comes to the frozen food aisle. But if you tend to stock up in this section to keep your freezer ready with convenient meals, you might want to double check your inventory right now to make sure that you’re not in possession of one of these recalled products. Find all the details below.

37 million pounds of frozen food recalled
Trader Joe's isn't the only store that's suffering the consequences of this frozen food recall. The entire recall on foods made by Ajinomoto Foods impacts over 37 million pounds of frozen meals.
For Trader Joe's shoppers, these are the ones to toss:
- Chicken Fried Rice, best by March 4-Feb. 10, 2027
- Vegetable Fried Rice best by dates Feb. 28-Nov. 19
- Japanese Style Fried Rice best by Feb. 28-Nov. 14
- Chicken Shu Mai best by March 13-Oct. 23

If you have any of these items in your freezer, you should return them for a full refund or throw them out, the company says.
Although no injuries have been reported, Ajinomoto has issued this recall due to "multiple consumer complaints involving glass found in product."

"Out of an abundance of caution, we have expanded on our voluntary recall for certain frozen products that may contain glass," the company reports.
