Bill and Hillary Clinton’s congressional testimony has been a hot topic in pop culture as the investigation into their relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein continues. While no evidence has yet to emerge that either Clinton has committed crimes related to Epstein, many critics continue to revisit their past association with the disgraced financier. However, there are many big names that are defending the Clintons, like The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sonny Hostin. Keep reading for more information.

Whoopi Goldberg & Sonny Hostin Defend Bill Clinton
The View's many co-hosts have taken on the topic of the Clinton congressional testimonies for their round table discussion, with Whoopi Goldberg leading the defense against the former president. "You know, say what you want about the Clintons," Goldberg began, "Have any of the women or has anything in those emails pointed to them as being guilty or having anything to do other than knowing?"
Other co-hosts responded by bringing up a photo of Bill in a hot tub with women in the files, and Sunny Hostin pointed out that he had taken "several flights" on Epstein's private plane. Goldberg doubled down, asking again, "Has any of the women come out and said, 'This is what Bill Clinton did?'"
In agreement, the other co-hosts responded no, and Goldberg drove her point home. "So what are they looking at? Because...what I don't understand is they had access to all the information." She then went on to say that the hearing was "clearly partisan," pointing out that President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump had a much closer relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and neither has been called to testify.

Bill Clinton Denies Witnessing Epstein Abuse
Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein were certainly acquaintances in the 1990s and early 2000s. Epstein visited the White House on multiple occasions while Clinton was in office, and after leaving office in 2001, Clinton flew on Epstein's private plane several times on trips related to philanthropic work in Africa and Asia. However, Clinton has claimed to have cut off contact with Epstein before Epstein's first criminal case came to light.
No Epstein victim has publicly accused Clinton of any wrongdoing related to Epstein, and there also hasn't been any evidence (yet) that he even visited Epstein's private island. In his congressional testimony, he was asked if he ever witnessed Epstein sexually abuse or assault young women or girls, and he responded with a resounding "No."
