It’s no secret that we all need a little extra help when it comes to weight loss. While you have to largely hold yourself accountable to achieve the fitness goals you’ve been waiting for, you can also rely on expert tips and tricks to help aid weight loss along.
In addition to eating a healthy well-balanced diet and getting plenty of exercise, supplements can also offer a ton of amazing nutritional benefits. In fact, one of our favorite supplements is a fat-burning supplement you should take every morning for a flat tummy.
We all know teas and coffees are popular morning drinks, but did you know a certain kind of tea extract actually has weight loss benefits? Green tea extract can be your new go-to supplement to help slim down your waistline.

In an interview with Eat This, Not That!, registered dietitian Shawn Wells explains the benefits of using green tea extract supplements. Wells says that the extract promotes thermogenesis and increases your metabolic rate and energy expenditure, which promotes weight loss.
"In the term caloric equation of 'energy in' vs 'energy out', they allow for more energy to be expended," Wells says, "helping you achieve a caloric deficit a lot easier than having to exercise or severely restrict food intake." Duly noted!

As reported by Healthline, a study on the effects of encapsulated green tea showed just how powerful the supplement can be. Fourteen study participants took a capsule that contained a mixture of caffeine, EGCG from green tea and guarana extract before each meal to see what the calorie burning outcome would be. The study found that participants burned 179 more calories on average in the following 24 hours, Healthline further reported.

It definitely looks like we’ll be adding some green tea extract supplements to our medicine cabinets ASAP!
