Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of today’s most successful musicians, and it looks like she’s not ready to slow down.

On social media platforms, fans of the pop star and pop culture enthusiasts have been weighing in on the debated topic of her music, specifically how much of it she releases. After she put out several editions, remixes, and more of her Life of a Showgirl album, some internet users began accusing her of “plotting and scheming” to stay at the top of the music charts by doing so.

Taylor Swift Releases New Music Via Her 'Life of a Showgirl' Album

There are few stronger relationships in the music industry than Taylor Swift and her fans, otherwise known as 'Swifties.'

Over her successful two-decade-long career, the country-turned-pop singer's fanbase has followed her through all of her 'eras,' continually purchasing her new music, concert tickets, merch, etc. More recently, they've even proven that their love for the mega-artist is so strong that they're down to buy or stream several versions of the same music.

This was proven after she initially released Life of a Showgirl, as, following the initial album release, there were remixes put out, as well as different versions of the album via CD and vinyl. Entertainment sources are reporting that there are approximately 30 variants of her latest album available, including eight different themed vinyl records fans can choose from.

Fans Accuse Taylor Of 'Plotting & Scheming' Through Her Variants

For years, the 36-year-old's fans have gone along with her variants and singles coming off one album, but the excessive releases aligned with Life of a Showgirl have some of them hopping off the bandwagon.

On social media, former fans, current ones, and other music enthusiasts have been slamming the singer, accusing her of only putting out this many variants of her album, not to please them, but to make more money or maintain high spots on today's music charts.

On TikTok, one fan said about the singer, as reported by the Daily Mail, "The fact that she is scheming and plotting so much to try to scrape her way to number one, that is what is embarrassing to me."

"I do think these variants are very much motivated by greed," observed a fan on Reddit. "However, I'm starting to feel like there is also a bit of insecurity in them. Her obsession with making sure each of her last 3 albums breaks some type of record by artificially inflating sales makes it seem like she doesn't believe her art can stand on its own."

"Greed is part of it," wrote another. "Even before the Eras Tour, her net worth was 0.5 billion. You don't get that rich if you're not a little bit greedy. A non-greedy person would give most of it away if they came into more than enough money to support themselves for life."
