Oprah Winfrey Wearings A Slimming White Sweater Dress For A Live Talk At The 92nd Street YMCA
Although she's been talking about and sharing progress on her health journey over the last two decades, the book club icon has seemingly trimmed down more than ever in recent years, and has begun opening up about what got her to a maintainable weight loss and comfortable size.
This week, Oprah attended a special live talk and interview about her new book, Enough: Your Health, Your Weight, and What It's Like To Be Free, which she co-wrote with obesity specialist Dr. Ania Jastreboff at the 92Y. The book details a fresher medical take on obesity, the role genetics plays in it, and some of the more modern methods of treating it, while breaking stigma through Oprah's added personal journey. For the talk at the 92Y, the Color Purple actress wore a long, white figure-hugging sweater dress that showed off her curves and slim frame. The dress had a turtleneck top and a flowing long skirt, and she paired it with some closed-toed high-heeled boots.
During her talk, Oprah spoke about weight loss medications years after she felt "shame" for not having enough "willpower" to lose weight despite fad diets and more. She noted people could opt to "use them or not use them," but that they should "just know," that through GLP-1s, "the struggle doesn't have to be the struggle that you've had."
