The author and producer completed her ensemble with dangling purple earrings, her signature glasses, purple pumps, and her brunette hair styled in a voluminous curly blowout.

She took to her Instagram to upload photos from the event and captioned her post: "First time speaking at the @demconvention—thank you for all the kind words. Now it’s time to do what my forever FLOTUS, @michelleobama said and “DO SOMETHING.'"

During her speech, she disclosed that she is a registered independent and took a swipe at JD Vance’s "childless cat lady" remarks.

Oprah Winfrey Takes The Stage At The DNC And Delivers A Speech

Winfrey said in her speech, "Despite what some would have you think, we are not so different from our neighbors. When a house is on fire, we don't ask about the homeowner's race or religion; we don't wonder who their partner is or how they voted. No. We just try to do the best we can to save them."

In a subtle dig at Mr. Vance, she added: "And if the place happens to belong to a childless cat lady, well, we try to get that cat out, too."

The comments were a reference to a 2021 interview in which the republican vice president pick described democratic politicians as "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too."
