Kanye West has made a controversial comeback and kicked off his latest set of live shows with a rare family performance.

During one of his new shows in Los Angeles last week, the rapper brought out his and Kim Kardashian’s 12-year-old daughter, North West, to perform her latest song, “Piercings On My Hand,” as well as her and her dad’s 2024 collaboration, “Talking.” Their rare son-stage performance caused quite a stir online, as not only did audience members disapprove of her taking the stage beside her problematic father, but they also couldn’t get over the lyrics about wanting more tattoos following her piercing scandal. Read more about the situation below.

Kanye West Brings North West Out On Stage To Perform During His Los Angeles Concert

The last four years have been quite tumultuous regarding the "Stronger" musician's career, as he continuously churned out offensive comments, statements, and more that permanently damaged his reputation.

Despite repercussions like Adidas ending its expensive and successful partnership with his brand, Yeezy, and numerous notable figures, as well as thousands of former fans speaking out against him, Kanye continued to make music and is now back to performing live for the fans and audience members who are continuing to support him. Following an apology letter for those he hurt, published in January, the rapper kicked off his limited 2026 tour with shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles at the start of the month.

During his April 2nd show, audience members were shocked when he suddenly brought out his neon blue-haired daughter, North West, to perform two songs with him. One was "Talking," the 2024 single he produced that she was featured on, and her own single, "Piercing on My Hand (Ye version)," which came out earlier this year.

"I'm not sure I'm crazy," she rapped on stage alongside her dad. "I want more piercings and tats. I love blue hair, put it in some plaits. Put the music to the max. I want like a hundred thousand racks."

Social Media Responds To Kanye & North's Performance

After social media users from the show shared photos and videos of the father-daughter duo on stage, there were a lot of mixed reactions shared online.

One of the most talked-about things involving the 12-year-old prodigy has been her choice and her parents' decision to allow her to get "risky" finger piercings at such a young age, which seemingly ended up getting infected. Additionally, there were many who felt she shouldn't necessarily be performing with her dad, considering all of the offensive things he's put out in the past.

"She is way too young to be doing this," wrote a Reddit user, as another commented, "They're opening her up to sooo many problems, external and internal."

"After Kim's Call Her Daddy podcast [episode] talking about how Kanye hadn't seen the kids in months, I wonder why he will bring them out on tour but not be active in their lives," added another. "It's kind of upsetting."

However, loyal fans of the 48-year-old rapper supported their performance at the jam-packed show, thinking it was a sign their relationship is strong.

"North and Kayne are healing each other," commented a user on TikTok.

"She's going to be the future of music when she's older," wrote a fan, as another added, "North is going to be [the] GOAT just like her dad."
