Ex-Trump Lawyer Calls Out Melania Trump

The Melania documentary released in theaters on January 30th, 2026, just days after an ICE agent shot and killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse. All eyes have been on Minneapolis as riots continue and ICE agents continue to be vigilant in their violence against innocent Americans. Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump has been focused on promoting her new documentary.

Even fans of Melania are admitting the timing is horrible. Donald Trump's former lawyer, Jenna Ellis, posted her opinion on X, formerly Twitter. "I have deep respect for the First Lady and have been honored to meet her," she wrote. "But this event should have been postponed. With Minneapolis unraveling and Americans demanding leadership, this feels disconnected from reality."

Social Media Reactions

Across social media platforms, users called out the First Lady for her untimely promotion of her new documentary, saying she has "no real connection to reality" and "no connection with the audience."

"This isn't just bad timing," one person wrote. "It's tone deaf. Minneapolis is bleeding, and this documentary shouldn't be in headlines."

"Perfect time for a PR tour," another person wrote.

"Tone deaf doesn't even cover it," a fourth user wrote.

"Ignoring real crises for PR stunts is exactly why people are furious right now," reads the next tweet.

"This isn't leadership," a final user wrote. "It's distraction theater."
