Donald Trump and Melania Trump do many things that leave people scratching their heads in disbelief. And something the First Lady did for son Barron Trump‘s birthday is one of the latest things on that list…

According to reports, Melania, 55, stopped Barron’s older siblings Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, who the POTUS, 79, shares with the late Ivana Trump, and Tiffany, who he shares with Marla Maples, from attending a private celebration for his 20th birthday. And now an insider believes they know the reason!

Why Did Melania Trump Ban Barron Trump's Older Siblings From His Birthday Party?

Banning older half-siblings from your son's birthday party certainly seems like an intentional and confusing move. But an insider reportedly told Rob Shuter that the move wouldn't have confused the family in question, as they aren't particularly close, and more than likely wouldn't have attended or even wanted to attend. Yikes!

"They're not close – at all. This wasn't an oversight. They were left off the list," the insider reportedly told Shuter's Naughty But Nice Substack, adding: "Barron didn't grow up with them in the same way. There isn't a real bond there."

"Melania is in charge, and she wanted this to be about Barron – not about Donald Trump, and not about his other children," an insider went on, before describing the celebration in more detail.

"This was a small, controlled, private celebration. And certain people were simply not included," the source added.

Melania Trump Makes 'Bizarre' Comments About Parenting Son Barron 'Nonstop'

Melania's parenting was previously slammed as being somewhat misguided and overbearing earlier this year; but perhaps people will understand the decision about the guest list a little more now that they know the closeness, or lack thereof, between the half-siblings.

If you recall, Melania mentioned "being there" for Barron, who was 19 at the time and studying at NYU, "nonstop" when speaking with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News while promoting her self-titled documentary earlier this year.

"You need to be there for a child nonstop, especially when they need you, especially at that age that Barron is," Melania said. "He's an incredible young man, we are very proud of him. Second year in Stern School of Business, and he loves it," she added.

"She's talking about him like he's 5," one person wrote on X at the time, as a second asked: "Is he that helpless that he needs constant supervision at 19?" "The last thing most 19 year olds want is their mother tied to their hip," slammed a third, as a fourth said: "Has there ever been a more infantilized family than the Trumps? Absolutely bizarre."
