"William is already showing a ruthless streak. It's no wonder Charles worries he's unlikely to find a place for Camilla in his new order," an insider reportedly told RadarOnline.
It's no secret of course that Prince William and Camilla don't exactly see eye to eye – which is actually quite the understatement! Akin to younger brother Prince Harry, Prince William is also said to harbor deep resentment toward his step mother over her role as the "other woman" during his late mother Princess Diana's marriage to King Charles.
"Most people believe he's still harboring a lot of resentment toward her," the insider went on. "The way Camilla betrayed their mother has not been forgotten by either of Diana's children."
They went on to confirm that William is simply more discreet than Harry when it comes to showing his true feelings, adding: "William is more diplomatic than Harry, so he's tried to disguise his resentment."
Prince William And Queen Camilla Are Already 'At War'
The heir and the Queen Consort are reportedly already at loggerheads. According to reports, the pair are said to be feuding over King Charles' workload, with Prince William allegedly feeling Camilla is not doing enough to stop his father from overworking amid his ongoing cancer battle, even as his condition is reportedly improving.
"William has been urging his father to ease off and genuinely take a step back to focus on his health, but each time he brings it up, it seems to trigger tension because Camilla is seen as encouraging Charles to keep pushing forward with his public duties. It's becoming a recurring point of conflict between them," an insider recently told RadarOnline.
"There is a growing sense internally that William now sees himself in direct opposition to Camilla on this issue. The phrase being used is that he feels almost at war with her, because he cannot reconcile what he sees as her role in encouraging Charles to keep pushing himself when, in his view, his health should be the overriding priority," they added.
