Khloé Kardashian Claims She's Stopped 'Heavily' Editing Her Social Media Posts In A New Podcast Episode
In mid-July, the reality star did a segment for her popular podcast, Khloé In Wonderland, where she answered questions and comments left to her by fans. When one fan accused her of Photoshopping "everything" she posted on social media, she took a moment to clear up the accusation. Every member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has faced Photoshop claims or been caught editing their pictures to clear up their appearances, but the mom-of-two wanted to explain that she had scaled it back.
"There was a time that I definitely did," she said, in reference to Photoshopping. "There was a time that I was around some people that would make me feel like I needed to. I also think it was the era, too. I felt like a lot of people were Photoshopping or heavily Photoshopping more than they do now."
Later in the segment, she said that "currently now," she no longer edits her photos or uses filters as much as she used to. Despite what she said on her podcast, where she's known for being open and vulnerable, people are having a harder time believing her statements due to some of her most recent posts.
The Internet Slams Khloé For Posting A Duck Lips Selfie That Looks Filtered
On July 16th, right around the time she made her claims about lowering the amount of photo editing tools she uses, the 41-year-old posted several selfies of herself outdoors with a Louis Vuitton bandana around her head. It seems like she stopped a hike for a few pictures, which she put on Instagram.
While she did get some positive praise for her beautiful looks, fashionable bandana, and cute poses, other internet users were not so pleased to see the selfies, as they noticed they looked as though they were heavily edited and filtered. Some users noted her large lips, which they compared to "duck lips," and her extra smooth complexion, which looked like it was caused by filters.
"So the whole not using filters anymore, it was just a lie?" asked an Instagram user.
"You are lying if you say you didn't edit your face in these photos," added another.
"I thought the duck face phase was over," commented a user.
Although Khloé hasn't responded to the backlash she's received following her Photoshop-related comments, fans and followers are still pointing out the use of editing in her pictures, no matter how many times she attempts to set the record straight.
