While Jenna Bush Hager’s newest co-host on Today may be Sheinelle Jones, she hasn’t forgotten about her dear friend, Savannah Gutherie. During the September 14th episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, Guthrie stepped in as guest co-host, and the pair reminisced about the joys of having children at the same time, with Jenna even tearing up talking about surviving their toddler years together. Jenna Bush Hager Gets Emotional Over Being A Mom
“I had my babies in my 40s, which I think is a great time to have your kids,” Savannah said. “I mean, I didn’t plan it that way, but that’s how life turned out.” Guthrie shares two children with her husband, Michael Feldman: Vale, 12, and Charley, 9.
“There’s pluses and there are minuses, you know?” she continued. “But I think that being a little bit more stable in your career and stuff is wonderful, because you’re not trying to juggle all the different things you’re trying to juggle when you’re in your 20s and 30s.”
“I’d like to think there is a little bit of wisdom,” she added, “but, you know, then there’s also, you know, you just get tired more quickly.”
Jenna couldn’t contain her happiness for her longtime friend, saying, “I know you felt this way because you’re my friend, but like, you were also just so delighted that it could happen for you.”
“I’ll never be over it,” Guthrie agreed. “I’m so happy. I mean, I still feel like, just so profoundly lucky that I got to have my kids and I was so late in life to do it. I had Charley and then turned 45 two weeks later.”

Jenna nodded along as Guthrie spoke and even started tearing up, saying she can't help it as an "empath."
"Well I know because I got to visit you with those babies," Jenna said with tears in her eyes. "I got to come and sit on your couch when you were a brand new mama." The pair then reminisced on their time being next-door neighbors, which they called "so amazing."
"Find a next door neighbor who happens to be one of your best friends, or become best friends with your next door neighbor because then you can kind of raise your kids together, and then also, we could be there for each other," Jenna said. "I remember once I was like, late for the bus and I called you, and I’m like, 'Can you please get my kids, too?' And it always made me feel more powerful to have you," she continued with tears starting to fall. "No, what is happening? I need to go to time-out!"
