Jaden Smith may not have joined Justin Bieber on stage at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival during Bieber’s performance of their Karate Kid collaboration “Never Say Never,” but he still made sure to show support in his own way.
The 27-year-old was spotted at the 2026 festival in Indio, California, including a stop at the YouTube Coachella Photo Studio on April 11, where he was seen cheering on Bieber during his headline set. He was also widely reported to be on the festival grounds throughout the weekend.

Jaden Smith Supports Justin Bieber At Coachella
For his look, Jaden wore a T-shirt featuring a 2012 photo of himself with the "Baby" hitmaker, nodding to their long-running "Never Say Never" era. He paired it with black jeans, a charm necklace, and a red cap reading “Christian,” referencing his role as men’s creative director for Christian Louboutin. He also spent time posing with fans across the festival.
Fans took to Instagram to share their reactions to the throwback photo featured on Jaden’s shirt.
“Lowkey wish bro would’ve kept acting. He was really good in that one movie,” one user said. Another commented, “2010 was generational with them.” A different user wrote, “His best outfit in a long time.” One person added, “He actually looks fly for once.”
Another simply said, “Adorable.” Someone else wrote, “The fits would eat ngl they need to recreate.” Another user asked, “Why didn’t he bring you out for never say never?” and one final comment read, “At this point, Justin deserves a biopic.”
Justin and Jaden have shared a close friendship for more than a decade, often described as brotherly in nature. Their most well-known collaboration, the track “Never Say Never” from Jaden’s film The Karate Kid, became a global hit and went on to define an era for both artists.
In 2024, the pair made headlines again after a warm reunion at Coachella. A viral video showed them embracing backstage, with the dad of one even playfully kissing Jaden on the cheek.

Jaden Smith Takes On The Fashion Industry With New Role
While Bieber has been making his return to the stage, Smith has been shifting his focus toward the fashion world.
In September 2025, Jaden was announced as the Men’s Creative Director for French luxury house Christian Louboutin. In this role, he is responsible for developing four collections per year, with his debut line unveiled in January 2026.
Speaking to WWD, the rapper said, “This is one of the biggest honors of my life, and I feel a lot of pressure to be able to live up to everything that Christian has done for the house and also step into such a serious role.”
However, the announcement sparked mixed reactions online. While Smith has built a multi-hyphenate career as an actor, musician, and designer, some social media users criticized the appointment, calling it an example of nepotism in the fashion industry considering his parents are Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
