Lara Trump and Donald Trump Jr. turned heads with their coordinating outfits during the Trump family’s recent trip to Ireland, but their matching plaid suits left social media users divided.
Lara joined her husband, Eric Trump, Don Jr. and other members of the family during President Donald Trump’s two-day visit to Ireland, which included a stop at the Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg. Donald Trump also met with Irish President Catherine Connolly and Taoiseach Micheál Martin during the trip.
While in Doonbeg, the mom of two shared a photo of herself posing alongside her brother-in-law, Don Jr., at the Trump resort. The two appeared to have coordinated their looks, with Lara wearing a gray plaid suit featuring ankle-length trousers and a double-breasted blazer. She finished the outfit with beige pumps.

Don Jr. opted for a brown monochromatic suit with suede shoes. The pair posed in front of plaid curtains that appeared to coordinate almost perfectly with Lara’s outfit.
Lara jokingly captioned the photo, “We both got the memo,” followed by a laughing emoji.
The coordinated looks quickly drew attention online, with some commenters amused by their suits, while others were more critical.
“Don looks like Sherlock Holmes,” one person wrote.

She also posted photos from her son Luke’s ninth birthday celebration, including a family picture with President Trump posing alongside Lara, Eric, Luke and his younger sister, Carolina, in front of his birthday cake. Lara appeared to be wearing the same plaid suit, suggesting the photos were taken around the same time.
The 43-year-old also gave followers a glimpse of Luke and Carolina playing tag on the airport tarmac. “Sometimes you just have to let them be kids,” she captioned the video.
Other members of the Trump family shared their own moments from the trip. Bettina Anderson, who is married to Don Jr., posted a series of photos from Ireland, including a candid bathroom mirror selfie featuring President Trump and 12-year-old Chloe, Don Jr.'s daughter.
The family’s trip coincided with the Irish Open, which was held at Trump’s Doonbeg resort. Shane Lowry ultimately won the tournament by 11 shots, with President Trump presenting him with the trophy.
